Yahoo, thanks to you, we hit 2500 subscribers this week! It seems like it was just yesterday that I was walking around with a little notebook asking everyone I knew for their email address. A little more than 3 years later, we have over half a million page views and are one of the top 20 Macaroni Kid sites in the country.

We hope you are enjoying your summer and getting out to all the fun festivals, fairs, movies, and fireworks that we have listed in our Macaroni Kid calendar. This weekend you can choose to be either Italian or French. I mean who doesn't love the annual Italian American Festival at the Freehold Raceway...where else can you eat sausage and peppers, zeppole, Italian pastries, and listen to Frank Sinatra music all in one place? There's even fireworks and strolling singers on Saturday night.

Or if you are feeling a little French, celebrate Bastille Day at the Grounds for Sculpture Museum in Hamilton, NJ , at the Bastille Day Celebration in Frenchtown,NJ, or at the Annual
French Institute Alliance Française Street Fair on 60th Street in New York City. I spent one rainy weekend in Paris while I was studying abroad, and I will never forget the beautiful museums, climbing to the top of the Eiffel Tower at night, eating chocolate croissants and crepes from street vendors, and chasing away French men who wanted to give my friend and I "french kisses" (yes, that really happened!). Now my daughter is obsessed with Paris, and our dream is to take a Mom/Daughter trip there one day (I need to be there to chase away all the French men!). Viva la France!

Fruit salad, yummy, yummy. Hot potato, Hot potato. Dorothy the Dinosaur. Wags the Dog. Big Red Car. Wags the Dog. It could only be the WIGGLES! When Josh and Arielle were little, I spent countless hours watching Wiggles videos and singing along in the car to their happy go-lucky songs. It was the only way I could get Josh to sit still in his high chair and to get Arielle to eat fruit salad, mashed bananas, and cold spaghetti. And every morning, I would wake up Josh with a loud "WAKE UP, JOSH." At playgroups, us moms would argue over who was cuter--Anthony Yellow Wiggle or Greg Blue Wiggle (my personal favorite was Greg).

Well, the Wiggles are back--better than ever--for the final shows together of Anthony, Murray, Greg, and Jeff. Do you think Josh & Arielle will still want to go? Not very likely since Josh is now rapping to explicit Drake and Eminem rap songs, and Arielle is mooning over Justin Bieber and the boys of One Direction. Kind of miss those innocent Wiggles Days! I may not be going to see the Wiggles, but one lucky family will win tickets to see the Wiggles Live in Concert at the IZOD Center. Click here to enter the giveaway!

Peace, love, macaroni, and Wiggles,
Merri and Sherri
