Frogbridge Day Camp - Giving Back with their Campers Help

By Sheri Guttman November 24, 2015
In this time of being Thankful it's great to see Frogbridge Day Camp teaching their campers that it's important to give back.  They did just that at their annual Frogtoberfest event, it's a fall festival with all of their activities in full gear, as well as a delicious catered meal, courtesy of Frogbridge.

Every family is asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy as a donation.  The toys are distributed in December to different charities that have a need.

In addition, each year they honor a friend that created this great program, by giving toys to the hospital where she sadly lost her life.  They visit every year on her birthday.

In speaking with JR he felt that it's important for kids to realize not everyone is as lucky as the children that attend the camp.  As a parent of a camper from Frogbridge I couldn't agree more. It's a catch 22, we want to give our kids everything we didn't have, but we don't want them to be entitled.  This along with fundraisers throughout the summer help teach our children how to give back and realize giving is truly better than receiving!
