Hello MacMammas and Pappas:
Hope you had the most wonderful 4th of July with the family! We had a fun BBQ and then went to see the fireworks at Freehold Raceway--our annual tradition. They started late, but they were sure worth the wait! On Sunday, we headed east on Rte 537 and ended up at Emery's Berry Patch in New Egypt where we picked organic blueberries. My youngest son had the best time eating tons of blueberries as he picked them off the bushes. He looked so cute wearing his little coffee can filled with berries. They also have a very cute bakery farm store with homebaked goodies. After that, we headed over to Laurita Winery for a snack (and some wine for my husband and I). I love it there--you feel like you are away in California. They also have great events, including a Food Truck Festival next weekend.
I am still having tons of fun tracking my oldest son Josh as he travels across the country--this week, he hit Yellowstone Park, Seattle, Portland, and finally arrived in California yesterday. It is a trip of a lifetime as he volunteered at an Oregon watershed, saw a Seattle Mariners game, hiked through Mt. Ranier park, and played with alpacas.
One of the things I love most about summer are all the free concerts, fireworks, and outdoor movies. This Sunday night at 7:00 PM is the Annual Marlboro Independence Day Concert featuring the Time Machine Band followed by fireworks. Also, be sure to check out iPlay's free Summer Family Fun nights every Thursday night at 6:00 PM that feature hosts from favorite radio stations, performances, giveaways, and more. Click here for a full schedule of activites.
Have a great summer weekend!
Peace, love, and macaroni,
Merri & Sheri
