Frogbridge Day Camp - Open House - 10/22, 9am-1pm

Go for a Tour!

October 20, 2016
Frogtoberfest is happening the same day as the open house, sign up and the kids will get to join in on the fun!  Take a tour of all the beautiful day camp on October 22, from 9am-1pm. Then you can enjoy the festivities starting at 2pm.  Your kids will have the time of their lives.

Here you can read a little about how this amazing camp not only makes the experience wonderful for our children, but also teaches them how important it is to give back.

Ahh, the beauty of autumn. That brisk, cool air. That gentle breeze. The leaves on the trees beginning to change color, reminding you that a new season is here. There is truly nothing quite like the beauty of the fall foliage that is now upon us!

By now, the children at school have all settled in, fall sports are in full swing, and gymnastics and dance classes have begun. Apple picking, pumpkin picking and the smell of freshly baked pies is always an autumn treat. And with Halloween right around the corner, many of us have already begun the daunting task of finding the perfect costume for our kids.

To think that at Frogbridge Summer Camp, children were swimming in the pools, zipping over the lakes, and singing and dancing the summer away at camp only 7 weeks ago, seems impossible. And for Frogbridge campers, the excitement of enjoying a frozen slushy at Frogaritas has quickly been replaced by the desire for a delicious hot chocolate with their friends on a cool fall afternoon, and they won't have to wait too much longer for that one!  You see, while many things change from one season to the next, and campers at most camps only get to enjoy eight short weeks together, at Frogbridge their "camp family" stays together all year long!

They achieve this by offering their camp families fun and exciting family fun days such as four seasonal Friday night reunions at iPlay America with free ride passes for everyone, a family barbecue night in August where parents, grandparents and campers alike all get to enjoy many of the camp's activities together, and most importantly, in October at their annual Halloween event and toy drive called the Frogtoberfest.

At Frogbridge Day Camp, the owner, Frank Pugliese and his son J.R., the camp's director, feel that it is their job to not only teach the children to swim, dance and play, they feel it is also their responsibility to teach their campers the all important social skills needed to be successful in life, how to make friendships that will last a lifetime, to be respectful of others and to help out when needed and give back to those in need. They teach children to give back by hosting fundraisers and food drives throughout the summer for groups such as the Pediatric Cancer Foundation, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean, the JAR of Hope Organization for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, among others. They also achieve this by decorating and wrapping birthday boxes and writing birthday cards to children their campers have never met, collecting food, supplies or funds throughout the summer and lastly, by hosting a toy drive each October at a Halloween themed family fun day called the "Frogtoberfest", so that they can personally deliver toys to hospitals, families and children in need throughout Central New Jersey this holiday season.

The Frogtoberfest is an exclusive, one day event attended annually by over 1,000 guests, all of which are camp families and friends. The day features a "not so haunted" hayride throughout the camp's property, magic shows, pumpkin picking and decorating, bumper cars, carnival rides, face painting and best of all, their now renowned haunted house called "Knoller's Revenge", that can easily rival any haunted house throughout the country!

If the thought of these incredibly fun Halloween activities is leaving the campers and their families hungry for more, they may want to stop by "Windows on the Water", a lakeside ballroom and grand tent for a themed buffet the likes of which many a guest has never before seen. From your all american barbecue fare to various meats, steaks, chicken, pizza, pasta dishes, salads and more, there is certainly something for everyone to enjoy. And after grabbing a bite with family and friends, many a guest will be sure to hop on over to Ribbits Ice cream Parlor for some Halloween themed ice cream and toppings, or swing by Frogaritas, another fan favorite, serving coffee, hot chocolate, churros, cookies and more!

Here is the best part of the day...the price of admission for the entire day with all of the extras is quite simple...one new, unwrapped toy per household. And if you have ever visited any of the dozens of Halloween attractions throughout the state of New Jersey, you already know how expensive these festivities can be. It can easily cost a family of four well over $200  for a haunted house visit, a hayride tour, pumpkin picking and decorating, face painting, rides, live shows and such, and if you even consider going out for dinner afterwards, the cost just increased considerably.

At Frogbridge that same family of four only has to bring a new, unwrapped toy, a toy that will soon turn a needy child's frown upside down and put a smile on the faces of children that weren't expecting to celebrate this holiday season, and their family is treated to one of the most incredible, action packed family days of the year. That's because all of the food, snacks, rides, attractions, staff and giveaways are all provided compliments of Frank and J.R. It is their way of giving back to the community that has welcomed them with open arms.

Please note that the Frogtoberfest will be held on Saturday, October 22nd, and is only open to register families and their guests, so be sure to register for summer camp 2017 if you haven't already done so, or be sure to refer a friend or neighbor that may benefit from the Frogbridge experience.

For your convenience, Frogbridge will be hosting an open house that same day from 9:00a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Anyone that registers for summer camp that day will also gain an exclusive invitation to join in the fun at the Frogtoberfest!
