Local Businesses & Libraries Rewarding Students for Summer Reading

We all know the importance of getting your child involved and reading throughout the summer.  Here is a list of businesses that offer some great incentives to reward your student for all their hard work.

Barnes & Noble Summer Reading
Click HERE to join the Summer Reading Triathlon.  Simply fill out the reading journal  Once completed bring in to your local B&N Store and choose a FREE BOOK from their selection on the reading journal list at the store...Enjoy reading!

Book it!  By Pizza Hut Summer Reading Challenge
BOOK IT! is a free program designed to encourage students in grades k-6 to read more by earning a Reading Award Certificate for a FREE, one-topping Personal Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut. Click HERE to join the challenge and learn more! 

Chuck E. Cheese's

Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge

Sylvan Book Adventure
Here is a fun, free way to motivate your child to read!  Kids in grades k-8 can search for books, read them offline, come back to quiz on what they've read, and earn prizes for their reading success.  Click HERE to start your reading adventure.

TD Bank
They are making reading fun while teaching young people the importance of saving money.  Read 10 books this summer, take their form to TD Bank and receive $10 in a new or existing young saver account.  Click HERE to bring out the summer reading form.

Local Library Summer Reading Programs:
Don't forget to check out your local library as many of them offer some great summer reading programs with rewards the kids will love!  

Monmouth County Library - Summer Reading Program, click HERE to register. 
The Summer Reading Clubs are divided into Early Learners, Children’s, Teens and Adults, and each has different reading goals:

Early learners - children who are not yet reading independently - can join the Read-To-Me-Clubs, and listen to 20 books
For school age children, the goal is to log eight hours of reading.
For teens, the goal is 800 pages.
For adults, the goal is four books.

Meet the goal and win a prize! Each participant registers online with the branch library of their choice, or a parent can create a family registration which gives them control of their children’s accounts. Prizes can be picked up at the branch where you registered. 

Old Bridge Library - Join the library’s Summer Reading Club! Read books and earn prizes! For every five books you read, programs you attend, or puzzles you complete, you’ll get a prize!  Choose Team Red or Team Blue, and help your team get the most points to win our Summer Reading marathon!  Click HERE to learn more.
