Tuck Everlasting - Broadway's Whimsical Journey

May 26, 2016
My eleven year old daughter and I had the pleasure of being invited to see Tuck Everlasting. Below you can read our reviews.

She read the novel by Natalie Babbitt in school and it was her favorite book, so this was an absolute dream come true for her and quickly become her favorite show!

My Daughter's take:

Would you live forever if you could?  This is a big question in many people's minds as they are watching this outstanding musical.  As many young kids go to to see the show you'll see a young girl named Winnie Foster, she's played by Sarah Charles Lewis.  Sara is an awesome person. She is an enthusiastic girl and is always ready for her next big adventure.  She has a big voice with awesome range.  So intriguing! When she started flipping and dancing at the fair I was amazed.

Everything was spot on.  Now here is the question, Would you live forever if you could and will Winnie choose to?

Sheri from Mac KId:  We had a great time interviewing Sarah in her dressing room. She's absolutely bursting with energy, joy and happiness.  Her mom is trying to keep up with her and said it's all of her daughter's pull that brought her to this place.  Having been one of five runners up for Annie the Broadway show a while back she was thrilled to finally get to make her mark on Broadway.  She did just that.

As you're watching her you can hardly believe she's only a young girl.  Sarah's bliss and enthusiasm makes you fall in love with her charismatic ways, this is just the beginning for her and we can't wait to see where her path takes her.

The sets are colorful and creative, the songs are energetic with choreography sure to entertain.

You will feel all sorts of emotions while in your seat, and it  will bring you to tears. The ending is absolutely beautiful.  It's a ballet showing how life has moved on, it was portrayed beautifully and is though provoking.

The acting is wonderful, the show is delightful and sometimes a little scary for a little one, so ages 8 and up would be best.

You'll certainly ponder the question - Would You Live Forever If you Could - keep in mind you'd never age, which there's certainly something to be said for all of life's great stages.
